Welcome to ‘Abby says…’
This is the place I come to offload some of the millions of thoughts I have racing through my ADHD brain. I hope you enjoy my ramblings and thanks for taking the time to check it out.
Describing yourself is difficult, you’d think I’d be better at it by now, especially, as I’ve grown up in the first global wave of social media. The generation who shared everything about ourselves online, during those wonderful (you could never pay me enough to go back) years of adolescence.
Since I was a teenager, I’ve been trying to define my entire identity (or a curated facet of it) in a few snappy words. Curiously, it doesn’t get any easier with age, so to let you know, ‘About Me’, I tried to remember what I’ve been told about myself that feels true.
My housemate said I have 'golden retriever energy', my mum said I ‘care a lot, sometimes too much, about other human beings’ and a teacher, on parents’ evening, once said: ‘Abby has a face like a smacked arse'. I think all that sums me up perfectly.
